Colts Awards Report Part 1 - 14 May 2007

Awards Night 2007


Thank you to all those who came along to the Awards Night which marked the end of another successful season for the Colts. A packed room at the Clubhouse bore testament to the fact that the Colts section continues to go from strength to strength.

We were very pleased that Harriet Cunningham



and Katie Ardrey, both former Sunbury Colts and now U21 & 16 England Ladies team members respectively, agreed to come along and present the Awards.

Our thanks to them for giving up their time to talk to the children about what it takes to become an International hockey player & inspire them to greater things!

Unfortunately, Michael Hawkins, another former Sunbury Colt & now U18 Scotland International, was unable to attend the Awards Night but sent his father along in his place who said a few words on Michael’s behalf!

The U11 Girls ‘A’ team was congratulated on being the Runners-up at the Middlesex Tournament and thereby going through to the South tournament. The team was presented with its Runners-up pennant.
