A voice from the past!!!
Sorry to contact you but this is the only email address I could capture.
I have just been surfing and seen that the Men's 1st team won the EHA Vase against Gainsborough Roses a team that plays in our Yorkshire League. Please pass on mine and Wendy's congratulations to the team as well as I see the ladies avoiding relegation. I quite often look at the SHC web site to see how things are going at our former club. is it really 23 years ago that we move north to York but I see that old familiar names are still prominent in the club namely Ian Fraser and Roger Clements who as Treasurer is undertaking one of the roles I had within SHC.
Our son Matthew, now 26!, who some will recall in the days when there was a crèche now is a good Hockey Player - he must get it from both parents!

We keep thinking about making a visit but time just goes by as we should do being vice presidents (I think we are) albeit that our donations is only via the 100 club ( with our non winning number(s)!!!)

Within the Hockey Club that I am Chairman (Acomb HC) we tend to have a veterans (over 30) week-end trip to somewhere in Europe in September and it has been muted that perhaps in 2012 we should go to the Olympics and possibly tour around London for some fixture - I said that I would make an initial enquiry to see if my old club could accommodate anything - perhaps this could be looked at in a kind of draft preliminary way.

We do keep in touch with Chris and Andy Parsons, Cathy & Allen Newman + Liz Darby (now Heaney via annual Xmas Cards)

No doubt your AGM will be soon and I express mine and Wendy's regards and very best wishes to all at SHC for the forthcoming future.
